Azerbaijan Bank Training Center (ABTC) was established with the initiative and support of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan under and with close assistance of Azerbaijan Banks Association, and also with the technical support of European Union TACIS Program in 2000.
ABTC, which was providing training services only on commercial banking in the first years of its establishment, with more than 70 highly professional and specially trained experts having in-depth practical experience in their sphere, provides a wide range of training services on the topics such as insurance and leasing, soft skills and management in line with commercial banking at present.
ABTC delivers 120-150 training course per year on average and about 1500-1800 persons attend those courses. During first years of its establishment ABTC was providing short-term refresher courses, but at present it is conducting training on local and international certification. With an audience of over 20 thousand persons, ABTC has a wide network both in Azerbaijan and overseas, and senior business executives, government and public figures are among its graduates.
ABTC always supports the institutional development of its business partners, providing consulting services to them in all fields of management.
Thanks to the consulting services of ABTC tens of banks and companies have been able to attract both local and foreign investors which has increased their profitability and strengthened market position.
Having been conducting the assessment of professional knowledge of employees since 2001, the Center offers to its business partners services on online assessment of professional and personal qualities compatibility of the most suitable candidates during recruitment and career development, and it has conducted the assessment of more than 10 thousand persons already.
ABTC closely works with the World Bank, the International Financial Corporation, European Union, European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, Islamic Development Bank, German Development Bank, German International Cooperation Agency, Japan International Cooperation Agency, USAID and other international institutions, and it is involved in over 30 projects funded by these organizations.
