The “Bilasuvar school-lyceum complex” (currently “Bilasuvar kindergarten-school-lyceum complex”) after the name of National Hero of Azerbaijan Mubariz Aghakarim Ibrahimov, was founded in Bilasuvar city under ABA, with the initiative and funding of the Central Bank,. The Complex has been operating since October 18, 2010. Considering the suggestion of the Executive Power of Bilasuvar District, agreed with the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan made a decision on giving the name of Mubariz Aghakarim Ibrahimov, the National Hero of the Republic of Azerbaijan, to the “Bilasuvar school-lyceum complex” established in Bilasuvar city on September 29, 2010.
The activity of the educational institution relies on the values such as promoting national and universal values, leadership qualities among children, developing personality and creative capacity of each student, bringing up independent intellectuals ready for future life, etc.
The education complex with a total area of 1.3 ha is equipped with modern lighting, ventilation, heating and cooling systems, water treatment plants. There are classrooms (a staff room, classrooms, laboratories, a computer room), a gym and a dance (rhythmic) hall in the lyceum. There is also a modern library equipped with internet network in the complex.
A series of privileges are applicable in the lyceum to improve the quality of the education system. The privileges include free education, provision of free lyceum uniforms and hot meals twice a day for students, a special lyceum fund for assistance to children from low-income families and transportation with special buses of students and teachers residing 5-40 km away from the school.
Also, there are various clubs, circles, sports sections, a song and dance ensemble and a lyceum theater to arrange effective leisure time for students in the education complex. Teaching of a number of foreign languages (English, French and Russian) is among the key priorities.
The lyceum has a lot of great achievements in the admission of graduates to universities, as well.
