In 2003, ABA established the “Bank Information Technologies Center” to support reforms in the improvement of payment systems, as well as to provide consulting services on the application of new information technologies to the member organizations. Another key purpose of the establishment of the Center is to support member organizations, particularly relatively small-sized banks in developing their software jointly (on the basis of partnership).
